The Haus Konstruktiv, a museum of nationwide and also international renown,  is located in an urban area which eminently features and bears witness to Zurich’s industrial architecture. The focus is on dialog with respect to tangible artistry and our presence. Temporary exhibitions and relevant educational programs tend in many ways to enable the audience to discover, understand and enjoy the arts and their historical background.

The Architekturforum Zurich is  the venue of  free and spontaneous debate on themes of contemporary  architecture. It fosters integration of disciplines and constitutes a platform for face-to-face meetings, opinion making and exchange of ideas. The forum affords exhibitions, speeches, panel discussions, colloquia, perambulations and what have you.

Since 1975, the subdomain exhibitions has been integrated in the Institute of History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at the ETH Zurich, which means the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. Exhibitions and supporting publications are aimed at giving the public an understanding of results of research and doctrine. Themes of current architectural practice are being introduced all along.

The Museum fuer Gestaltung Zurich – meaning for figuration -  loops up everything in the context of figuration that becomes visually effective. Main topics are design, visual communication and architecture. Temporary exhibitions along with minor productions and interventions in and around the museum bear witness to the manipulation of figuration.

The Kunsthalle Zurich, a museum which indulges in divulging international contemporary  artistry by means of  exhibitions, series of lectures, guided tours, sightseeing tours and movie screening. Accompanying catalogs increase and intensify the information on  artists or on thematic contexts. The Kunsthalle Zurich must not however be mistaken for the museum Kunsthaus Zurich.
